Kona 4-5 hours
Pristine ocean views, history and fresh flavor are what this tour is about. From central Kona, the tour takes us to coffee country where you will have an opportunity to taste Kona coffee. Our tour includes at least two coffee stops where your guide will give you choices based on your preference for coffee, such as Greenwell Farms and Royal Kona Coffee Museum.
Your tour continues on to Big Island Bees to sample the island’s delicious honey and experience a small tour of the life of local bees. Descending down the slopes to the coast, our next stop is at Kealakekua Bay where you will be able to view from a distance Captain Cook’s Monument. Our last descent takes us to the City of Refuge to learn what native life was like hundreds of years ago.
Looking to the slopes of Mauna Loa, we ascend to view St. Benedict’s Painted Church. Before heading back to your pick-up location, the tour concludes at an eatery of your choice. Often it is fresh seafood, but it can be modified to fit your preference. Your expert guide will maximize your time window, whether you are coming in on a cruise, a lay-over at the airport, a work conference, or already have other activities planned. This tour is the best way to experience what Kona has to offer in a 4-7 hour timeframe.
